Bracelet from Guines

This undecorated bracelet was shaped by plastic distortion from a stem-shaped ingot. It was part of a deposit discovered by chance on the edge of a vast marshland. During the Bronze Age "treasures", probably intended for divinities that have not been identified so far, were buried on land or in rivers.

This gold deposit, which was buried around 1200-1100 BC, was composed of this bracelet, three torques, and a gold "belt" weighing 2510 g, the use of which remains an enigma.
