The reproduction of a sculpted work requires great mastery and meticulous care: conservation and restoration of moulds, handling of originals, taking new impressions, digitization and model making, reproduction, patinas...
This excellence in gestures and techniques mastered by the teams of the Moulding Workshop of the Réunion des musées nationaux is the guarantee of high quality work, with respect for the works.
Heir to a centuries-old tradition, the Réunion des musées nationaux - Grand Palais Moulding Workshop carefully monitors the quality of its reproductions. Its collection, dating back to 1794, is the result of taking impressions of the originals. We certify that this reproduction was made in bronze and that the foundryman used a mould from our collection. It bears the stamp of the Réunion des musées nationaux, a certificate of guarantee of its provenance and the quality of its manufacture.
