Magnet for textile "Crown"

Magnet for textile made from a decorative element of the Gate of the Court of Honour (Palace of Versailles).

The royal gate, located between the courtyard of honour and the royal court of the Palace of Versailles, was built during the reign of Louis XIV by Jules Hardouin-Mansart around 1680.
It was installed between 1771 and 1793, in the last years of the reign of Louis XV, and then restored in 2008.

Various emblems of the Sun King can be found in the castle, on the tapestries, the woodwork...such as the sun or the monogram of Louis XIV.
In the centre of the gate, at the top of its portal, there is also the royal crown, formed by a circle surmounted by eight fleurs-de-lis, which serves as a base for eight pearl tiaras that are joined at the top by a double fleur-de-lys.
